Connected, We Can Create Anything
Challenge
Mobile connects us to everything and everyone we love, and by default, it has changed the business of marketing and communications. We were challenged to use the Cannes platform to position Facebook’s family of mobile video products as the new creative standard for brand building.
Insight
Despite the increase in connectivity, the marketing world has become more fragmented. Facebook believed that being more open and connected within the creative industry could help them tell better stories and provide more value to people and customers.
Strategy
Facebook needed to educate clients about their family of video products and how to use them. Shifting perceptions on video on mobile and its ability to build emotional connections with consumers and brands.
Solution
Our theme ‘Connected; we can create anything’ was brought to life through a suite of physical spaces at the heart of the festival that celebrated the passion and creativity that was being captured through mobile video.
Facebook Cannes Beach provided a beautiful place to connect, create and be inspired through a host of daily activities, product experiences and session programming such as; Instagram’s Alexa Meade experience, the Creative Shop’s Mini Cannes, Messenger Bot AI installations and a magnificent curved presentation space where we hosted the creative world's most-renowned thought leaders, exploring the idea that connected, we can create anything.
At the Palais we created a Wander & Wonder experience for Instagram, a space where the audience were transported to new worlds, designed to awaken their sense of discovery. As they explored the living dioramas and demos inspired and created by the Instagram community, they were able to reflect and rediscover their own passions.

Creative Director – Directing a team of 2D & 3D designers, copywriters, animators, developers and artworkers to deliver a truly connected event.
